Queen of Jeans // If you're not afraid, I'm not afraid Announced

The Philadelphia-based crockpot pop group have announced their forthcoming record, If you're not afraid, I'm not afraid, to be released on August 23, 2019. Check out the Bob Sweeney-directed video for the album's lead single, "Get Lost," below.

On If you're not afraid, I'm not afraid, Queen of Jeans paired with prominent producer Will Yip to enter into a new sonic era. It marks a decided turn to more tightly knit songwriting that emphasizes Queen of Jeans' most alluring strengths. Vocals shine through as the sun through clouds, drenching twangy, western-reminiscent guitar in evocative light, illuminating the album's vast and serene crockpot soundscapes. If you're not afraid, I'm not afraid is an impactful collection of songs that stand for something real; Queen of Jeans' invitation to the listener to embrace their own stories, no matter how scary it may seem.

Pre-order the album today on vinyl, CD, or cassette.

Recently announced albums

Alfred. - LIKE YOU!!

release: June 7, 2019

LIKE YOU!! is the deeply multifaceted debut album by Richmond, VA's Alfred. Its warbly bell tones, expertly chopped melodic samples, and slow-mo hip-hop grooves form the instrumental base for the "darkgospel" singer/rapper Aaron Brown. Jazzy yet supple Dilla-reminiscent cuts contrast starkly with songs that boast Alfred.'s signature darkgospel stylings, the juxtaposition of which makes for a compelling, spectrum-crossing album.

LITE - Multiple

release: June 5, 2019

Multiple is the sixth full length record by the prolific maximalists known as LITE. Over the past 16 years, the Japanese quartet has established itself as one of the most influential groups across a host of subgenres. Though usually referred to by touchstones such as "math-rock" or "post-rock," LITE has developed an uncanny ability to fuse their influences into their own unmistakable dialect that defies generic genre classification.

With that, we give you their latest single "U R My Guy," a sultry track that soothes the ear while pushing gender norms. The single is already available on all digital outlets -

Dig Yourself drops on all formats on March 30th, so make sure to secure your pre-order here!

Queen of Jeans // "More to Love" Music Video Premiere

Ever used a dating app? Ever felt the sheer torture of being ghosted on said dating app? Queen of Jeans knows this feeling all too well, showing us an awkward tinder interaction in their newest music video for "More to Love" which premiered today over at Uproxx.

"The track “More To Love” is a modern take on the doo-wop sounds of the mid-twentieth century, with gorgeous ethereal harmonic vocal melodies drifting atop clean guitars and a simple drum beat." - Zac Gelfand

We're really excited for Dig Yourself to come out at the end of March, and we know you are too! If you haven't yet, make sure to pre-order the album here.

Queen of Jeans // "More to Love" Premiere

The Philly-based quartet Queen of Jeans has just come out with the first song, "More to Love", from their newest album, Dig Yourself! Back in December, we let slip the news that we would be working with this band on their upcoming album, and here's the track to prove it! Check out the song, along with a little snippet about the band over at The Alternative.

Queen of Jeans is a band formulated over a multitude of experiences with misogyny in the music industry. From these experiences, the band decided to forge together and make a dynamic that focused on cherishing their musical talents--leading to their forthcoming album. Dig Yourself focuses on a duplicitous meaning-- on one hand, you can really dig yourself. You can be into yourself. You should be into yourself. On the other hand, Dig Yourself focuses on digging inside of yourself, and doing the work to find out more about you. It's self-reflective while self-loving, a combination well settled by their background as a band.

The album will be coming out March 30th, which you can preorder here. Their record release show will be at Underground Arts in their stomping grounds of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 31st, the date after their release.

If you enjoy the sounds of the likes of Angel Olsen, Mitski, and/or Waxahatchee, if you like people who like to make vegan nachos, if you like the idea of "estrogen on ice", you'll love this song!

We are so excited to be able to put out this release for this band. We hope you're just as excited too.

A portion of the proceeds from this forthcoming album's pre-order sales will be divided equally and go directly to The Trevor Project, The NAACP Legal Defense Fund and Planned Parenthood.
